Don’t let the idea of setting goals for your business scare you at the start of the new year! Setting goals is a great way to keep yourself on track to success.

Top 10 TIPS to crush your business goals.

1. Have you written down your business goals for 2021? If you haven’t, let’s get started there.

When writing down your goals be sure to use the SMART acronym!

Specific – Make sure that your goals are crystal clear.
Measurable – This means that you should be able to track your progress with your goal.
Achievable – Make sure that your goal can realistically be accomplished. Your goals don’t have to be easy, but they do have to be attainable.
Relevant – Make sure that your goals matter. Your goals may be hard to reach, and in order to power through the hard times, and struggle and doubt you may see, they should be important and worth it to us!
Time-bound – Make sure that you put a deadline on your goals!

2. Set up a seamless online experience for your clients.

Normal face to face interactions aren’t happening just yet, so by creating a seamless online experience for your clients you will have an edge over others in your line of work. Instead of waiting for checks in the mail or sending contracts by snail mail or using an excel spreadsheet, step up your game. Having a seamless online experience creates a positive experience both for you and your clients.

3. Have contracts set up in your CRM and ready to send.

Don’t wait until a potential client inquires to have your systems in place. Do that now so you don’t have to keep your clients waiting. Contracts are the norm for many in the service industry. This will not protect both you and your clients if any issues arrise.

4. Switch to an all-in-one platform

Don’t use different platforms for different functions. Find an all-in-one platform such as Honeybook to handle your business. This was the best decision I ever made for my business back in 2016. Now my payments are ran automatically for me and it’s one less thing I need to stress over! If you’d like to try out Honeybook for $1/month for the first 6 months, you can do so by clicking my referral link here:

5. Don’t be afraid of video meetings.

Video is becoming the new norm for our world. It is convenient, and allows us to still have face to face interactions with our potential clients. It allows us as business owners to still share our personality and warmth without the added risks for us and our clients!

6. Set strong core values for your business.

Strong core values will allow your brand to gain trust from socially conscious clients! “Being intentional about choosing values and practices that clearly communicate where you stand on social issues that are important to you will resonate deeply with clients who have decided to vote with their dollars. They will choose brands that understand social issues, spread awareness and participate in change,” Janice Burch, Founder at Before Diversity

7. Set up your automation with a personal touch.

All of our clients deserve our time and attention but there are only so many business hours in a day, the best thing we can do for our clients and our sanity is to help prepare our clients with a personal touch leading up to their session. This can be done through automation!

8. Invest in your business education.

One of the best things that you can ever do for your business is to continue to invest in your education. Our industry is always changing and in order to keep up with those changes and to serve your clients best it is so important to stay educated. You can’t expect your business to grow without investing in it.

9. Don’t be afraid to incorporate video into your social media presence.

Have you noticed how TikTok really blew up during 2020? It’s safe to say that short, snappy, well-curated videos are here to stay. Reels are being shared more than any other type of media on Instagram. It’s time to join the video game.

10. Show up authentically in your business.

The very best thing you can do to push your business forward and crush your goals in 2021 is to show up authentically in your business. You are your brand. People need to know, like, and trust you. So, don’t be afraid to show up authentically, as you are.

Are you ready to crush those goals?
